I knew he was here because I heard a loud bang. About twelve hours after he left, the next person on our deck was Theo, Recreation Unlimited's hot tub repair technician. We combed it over and found no reason for concern. Unfortunately, their repair tech Theo left us with two deep gouges in our brand new composite deck when he mishandled the framing.The day before the incident, the carpenter building my deck did an inspection of his progress with me and my wife. In order to service the hot tub, the framing must be removed, along with the hot tub's front panel. My hot tub is recessed below my deck so I have a removable framing around it. Instead I’m made to feel silly for even asking to at least come to an understanding in order to continue our business relationship in the future.Īvoid at all costs! The owner refused to cover property damage!I had a fairly positive experience up until I had to have my new hot tub serviced due to a few installation hiccups.

This is unfriendly and disappointing even in this inflationary environment during summer of 2022, but don’t mention it! Otherwise they will hurt ur mood by responding with a vindictive undertone and condescending Attitude “did you just want us to do the work for free?” but don’t question it, We asked the GM to work with us and at least meet in the middle as our sales lady made it seem like it was an unnecessary charge “I even asked Alicia, the GM and she said leave it on” is what Sheila, our salesperson said when we inquired about the additional charges, referring to the additional install fee. The competitor below, although be it in another state so it’s a moot point charges $300 for entire set. Because of the missing bubble panel it would add another $299 for a grand total of $1100+ for just install costs. (We originally we’re quoted 490 then it went up to 800 when upgrading. It’s not reasonable after we already paid $800+ just in install costs. We never said that!! We said we believed it was included and we want to reach an agreement where we can meet in the middle, a very reasonable request like not charge anymore in install or cut the cost down because we are adding more items and are going to be returning customers, but that doesn’t matter if Alicia, the GM woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning.When I spoke with my sales person post installation I agreed to around $5-600 in additional charges to get the bubble panel on our set and change couple things but Instead they want to charge an additional $299 to install.
Not included we learned post installation so We called and added it and a couple other items BUT not without being accused of accusing them of being misleading… the vindictive GM, I can’t be the first one who thinks so.
We even told Sheila, our sales person, that we want it. We assumed it was included because we upgraded sets 2 times just to have it. Example: we assumed the bubble panel was included but post installation we learned it wasn’t. They don’t want to hear your issue nor do they want to be reasonable, they are too busybody. They don’t follow up and they don’t care unless they can bill you extra for omitting info about your original purchase. No customer service… the GM? Nope don’t even bother with them. I recommend buying from competitor and hiring a reasonable and good contractor to install it, whether it’s a hot tub or play set, you will not regret finding somebody else to purchase from, install, and/or service the warranty.Also buyer beware #2: post installation, YOU are nothing to them but merely a quick buck. Also the competition charges $449 for bubble panel and they charge $749 (see site below) (they will honor it but then charge you for something else extra). Don’t even try to price match, they will allow it but then overcharge you somewhere else to make up for it.An Example: Outback 6’ combo 4 does not include bubble panel like in pics from competitors or the manufacturer website. Don’t let the positive reviews fool you, they are the exception not the rule!Buyer beware: you may think you are getting the best price, but they aren’t adding the same components to their packages as competitors or standard per manufacturer and when you realize it, it’s too late and you will be charged extra for the install.
